Remembrance Day

photo from Wikipedia

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare.

Today at 11am, we will fall silent for our 2 minute silence at home.

We will praise God for our freedom.

We will pray for families who grieve more recent losses in more recent battles.

We will never forget. We will remember them.
